Flagnoggoin Thursday....
We my adoring fans......it has been a short while since my last post...and I do apologize profusely for that. I have been sick.....still am....but presents seems to make me feel better for anyone who wants me to feel better :) Well I guess that I didn't give an account of my exciting weekend yet....so I will do that....even though it is now closer to this coming weekend......We went to Oklahoma with Josh and Aja to see Kings of Leon in concert! It was sooooo much fun! I still have blisters on my feet from jumping up and down and screaming like a flagnoggin groupie! Before we went to the concert, Aja took me to go shop at this place called Campus Corner.....highly recommended.....we had a great time and got lots of good stuff....cuz you know....my closet is lacking and I needed MORE clothes. WHATEVER! It needed more clothes that I didn't already have!...of course! Anyways.....we had sushi before the concert....yum! I have this HUGE obsession with edamame....and their edamame had salt AND pepper on it....super good! Craving some right now! Anyways......then the concert. I don't drink.....and I think that quite possibly, I was the only person in the whole entire concert that didn't. So while everyone else was waving around a beer....I was waving around a lemonade and a bag of candy.....yeah....picture that.....rock concert....with me waving around a bag of candy......if I would have thought about it sooner...I should have been embarrassed! :) Pretty funny. Anyways.....Kings of Leon were absolutely great in concert.....quite possibly better in concert than on a CD or radio! We had such a good time! After the concert it was pouring raining...of course....and we had to walk everywhere that we went. So we walked to this place, I think called Rock Bar and stayed there til ungodly hours of the morning and then went to IHOP....who had the absolute WORST service and was the slowest place that I have ever eaten at. When it is almost morning, you are soaking wet, hungry, tired, smell like cigarette smoke, hungry, and your feet hurt like they got caught in a bear trap and you got them out yourself.....there is NO pancake worth the wait. And then, since I am eating healthy....(ignore the bag of candy I mentioned earlier) I got oatmeal and scrambled eggs.....NO PANCAKES! So then the wait REALLY wasn't worth it! Oh well.....I got a shower when we got back to the hotel and a good night's rest....and we all make it back safely. Sunday e woke up, ate lunch, and headed back to Longview. We stopped in Dallas to have Orange Cup...freakin yum.....and didn't get back until like 9pm. All in all the weekend was great and we had a great time! Anyways.....I am freezing right now and don't feel good.....I wish that I was at home snoozing.....that would make me feel better. I am going to get in bed by 9 tonight....I have been getting in bed at decent hours recently.....it makes getting up a whole lot easier...that's for sure :)
Sounds like a fun weekend. I have mentally noted Campus Corner...another shopping experience for the future. Someday we are all meeting up at Mall of America in Minneapolis...a short nap/plane ride away for you, a 4 and a half hour drive for me...there are several good malls there. And another future trip will be meeting up in Denver! We can see Adam and Jaime and little whatever-his-name-will-be, stay at a nice hotel and hit some GREAT malls (and there are several there)...go up into the mountains, hit some good restaurants (no raw fish, please...but there are a couple of Cheesecake Factories)...it is beautiful there! Yep, I'm leaving right now to buy a lottery ticket. See ya!
ReplyDeletelottery ticket! hoorah! i will keep my fingers crossed! adam and jaime haven't picked out a name for little whatever-his-name-will-be? cheesecake factory.....YUM!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletewell, if they have picked out a name they haven't told us. They're lucky it's a boy. If was a girl I would have insisted on Little Cheryl.
